It's very nearly the end of 2014 so that means a whole new year of blog posts to plan. Over the past few months the direction of this blog has been drifting towards more of the beauty side but I thought it was about time to get your feedback, to get a sense of what you would like on the blog.

I have created an end of year survey, which I would gladly appreciate if you took 2 minutes to complete it. It would help me tremendously for the year of 2015 but also for your benefit too!

Click here to have your say! It completely anonymous just in case you were wondering. I really want to create more of your favorite posts so thank you in advance.

I had only ever swatched and sampled Topshops' makeup several times in the store, so this is new territory for me, but had only committed to their nail polishes - which are definitely worth the hype. Their individual lipsticks cost £8 and range from deep reds to matte lip bullets. I got gifted a duo set including the lipstick Innocent which is definitely a shade I would of chosen myself.

Innocent is a blue toned pink that is perfect for your everyday grab and go lipstick. At first glances, I thought the shade wouldn't suit me but I was still eager to give it a go. Sadly the colour is too pale of a pink and washes me out however to achieve a flattering shade I dab the lipstick on to create an even more natural look. On the flip side, the formula is really creamy and moisturizing resulting in no dry lips! The formula and shade is also very comparable to Mac's Cremesheen lipsticks. Like all of Topshop's makeup, the packaging is very chic with it's tin cover that is quite sturdy and the lid is very secure so it won't come off in your bag. Plus it has that satisfying 'click' when you put the lid back on.

Although this is not my favorite lipstick I own, I definitely want to try out a wider range of Topshop lipsticks in the future and hopefully find some which suit my skin tone.

I have also created an end of year survey to understand what you like about my blog. It only takes five minutes to complete and I would appreciate all responses so I can create a more enjoyable blog. The link is here.

What's your favorite Topshop lipstick?

BB,CC and DD creams have really started to become popular over the past few months but with all these new creams, it's really important to understand what makes them so popular! Below is a step by step guide to understanding what BB creams are, how to pick them and how to use them to the best of their ability.

BB Creams, what are they?
'BB cream' stands for beauty balm or blemish balm - think of it as a tinted moisturizer. It has all the usual benefits of hydrating and providing coverage like any tinted moisturizer but it also includes SPF, blemish fighting, anti-ageing and skin-brightening ingredients. So depending on which BB cream you pick, you'll be able to tackle many different problems.

CC Creams, what are they?
CC creams are now starting to really hit the beauty market world with promises to out do BB creams. The name stands for Colour Control or Corrective Control, meaning it's aim is to correct the different tones in your skin.

DD Creams, what are they?
Another one to look out for in the future is DD creams, which stands for Dynamic Do-all Cream. With SPF formulas, anti-blemish, anti-ageing and skin perfecting formulas these might just tip BB and CC creams out the water. They won't be hitting the shelves just yet but keep your eyes peeled!

How to pick the right one...
It can be very tricky choosing the right BB cream for you especially as some blend more effortlessly than others. However try picking one that has the skin benefits tailored for you (for instance targeted for oily skin). Don't be scared to ask the sales assistant for some guidance if needed!

How to use BB cream...
BB creams are great for those days where your skin looks amazing and doesn't need much coverage. You can either wear this on its own or before the rest or as a primer before all your makeup, so it's best to apply this after your morning wake up of moisturizer. This will even out your skin and make it have a natural glow for the day ahead.

I hope this has helped you to know all about the different types of creams out there on the market and how to use them for their different benefits.

What's your favorite BB cream?

For the month of December I was planning on posting a blog post every other day but because it's getting darker each night I'm finding it very hard to take decent quality pictures. I will still try and stick to a schedule but just in advance I am sorry if I don't post on the right days...

When I was in boots a few weeks ago I stumbled across the Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails. I was a bit apprehensive with the whole instantly touchable nails but for only £3.05 I couldn't really pass it up.
I love using a simple topcoat for a glossy shine but sometimes I am in a complete rush (spending way too much time doing my makeup!) The idea with this, is to spray the product 10cm away from your nails and within 60 seconds they should be touch-dry. After the 60 seconds were up, I was able to reach into my bag and dig into any draws with no smudging or creasing - a girls dream! However when applied the spray does leave a very greasy/oily residue, which I'm guessing is this vitamin E oils, that you have to rub off when fully dried. It's great for if you're wanting an on the go or last minute manicure but apart from that I will probably be sticking to my own handy topcoat!

Cream shadows can be very intimidating and hard to work with, especially if you are a makeup novice but once you read these tips and tricks, you'll be a definite pro.

Primer
Cream eyeshadows can work really well as a base for either powder shadows or other cream eyeshadows; a simple colour like the MAC Pain Pot in Bare Study or Soft Ochre is great for a very neutral look for day or night. By applying this base, it increases the intensity of whatever you choose to place over the top and makes it last a whole lot longer.

Lid
The main use of these are obviously to be applied all over the lid for shadow - they have a great lasting power when applied so there is no need to worry about them budging or creasing throughout the day. They also blend effortlessly  but you've got make sure you work quickly before dry! This is a great option for those who are in a hurry and need a 'grab and go' option.

Liner
Use a darker shade to add definition to the eyes - most cream eyeshadows have a great creamy consistency so it's easy to apply. Grab an liner brush and use it just like you would with a gel eyeliner. I find that the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye Shadows are great for doing this as they aren't to harsh and blend beautifully, creating a smokey effect.

Cream eyeshadows are an easy way to create definition to your eyes with not a lot of effort, it's something you can't go wrong with, which you'll love at first use.

Are you a cream shadow fan?

I'm starting off this What's on my face series with a natural makeup look that I tend to wear on a daily basis. For the base, I wanted to go super light, so I just opted for a BB cream, with a higher coverage concealer to mask my blemishes and dark circles. At the moment, I've been very much inspired by the stunning Kylie Jenner's makeup, so of course I had to do the classic winged eyeliner. However this time I'm not sporting Jenner's 90's lip trend, instead a pink nude. I've also been obsessed with using the bronzer in my Sleek Face Form palette as a subtle crease colour,to give some warmth. I find that it ties my whole makeup look together - matching my bronzed face.

BASE:
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream // Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer // Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

COLOUR:
Sleek Face Form kit

EYES:
Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara // Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner

LIPS:
MAC Creme Cup Lipstick

Hope you liked this segment of what's on my face! Look out for some more upcoming posts!

I was lucky enough to be gifted my very first MAC lipstick and it has definitely started off my little obsession! I decided to pick out the much raved about colour in the beauty world - Creme Cup. From watching various YouTube  videos and seeing swatches, I was very apprehensive that the colour would wash me out, but me being curious, I had to give it a try.

Creme cup is described as a light, blue pink which is very wearable for most skin tones. This is a shade that with just with one swipe it can have a pretty, pink wash of colour; depending on what you like, it can be built up to a fuller coverage with additional swipes.

The lipstick has a cremesheen finish which makes it very moisturizing  but I always have to make sure that I give my lips a good scrubbin' before applying it, as otherwise it sinks into the tiniest cracks and dry patches! The staying power is about up to an or two, so this a definite one to put in your bag and reapply throughout  the day. Whenever I do my everyday makeup, I always end up reaching for this lipstick as it's just that perfect nude, pink lippy.

To round it up, I am very much in love with this lipstick and it's safe to say I will be buying many more in the future! The next MAC lipstick on my list is Velvet Teddy, which the ever so famous Kylie Jenner loves to wear.

What's your favorite MAC lipsticks?

Topshop have some of the best nail polishes on the high street but they have never really been talked about in the blogging world. One of my favourite shades is barefoot which is the perfect mink pink and would look amazing on darker toned people.

This colour is hardly noticeable from far away but when up close it's a very pretty rose pink. Whenever I'm in a rush when painting  my nails this is the colour I always reach for as it dries super quickly and goes with any outfit (so no panicking five minutes before you have to leave!)  It has a very sophisticated look when on the nails and would give a modern twist to the classic french manicure. This polish lasted just under a week with no chipping which is great for a high street brand. For £5 a bottle you can't really go wrong, they're a bargain!

Quick notice - check out my new instagram especially for my blog @beyondimaginationblog

Have you tried topshop nail polish?

Would you wear this colour?

I have had this product tucked away for quite some time now and only until recently have I started using it (religiously!) My waterproof makeup finally gave up on cotton pads and face wipes so I resorted to this oil based makeup remover.

The Body Shop Camomile Oil (£10) is a makeup remover that you apply to dry skin and massage in to remove any impurities, while leaving your skin feeling silky soft. Body Shop claim that it's suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin and for even contact lens wearers.

After using a pump sized amount, I rub it into my skin with circular motions while it effortlessly gets rid of ALL my makeup and grime. Then I take a damp face cloth to remove, it never feels oily or greasy either. This whole process takes no time at all! If there is any excess makeup (there never usually is) I would follow up with The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up remover. The oil is formulated with fair trade camomile which smooths and calms the skin so it's not aggravated in the slightest. This £10 bargin remover feels a lot more luxurious than it actually is.

All in all this is a cleansing oil worth getting! I definitely highly recommend you go and pick a bottle up to get an effortless night routine.

Have you tried this cleansing oil?

Over the past few days I have been reminiscing over my old blog posts and realized that it had been over a year since the last 'Worth The Hype' was posted so I decided to raid my makeup collection and picked out the ever so hyped about Soap & Glory Eyeliner.

When first using this eyeliner I found it really hard to use as the nib was a lot thicker than any previous eyeliners I have tried, but once I had gotten the hang of it, I absolutely adored it!  When applied it instantly was already jet black and draws on very smooth - if held at the right angle. It seems to be able to get into my eyelashes so there are no visable gaps. However as I am blessed with oily skin AND hooded eyes, the eyeliner transfers onto my top eyelids very easily even if I use a primer or set the liner with eyeshadow. Putting the negative points to the side, the staying power incredible and is super easy to remove so no tugging at the eye is needed! This eyeliner is also very effortless to create the perfect cat eye in just a matter of seconds.

 Is this worth the hype?
Definitely, at only £6 it's great value for money, once you get used to it you will never go back! I've even bought a back up, that's how much I love it.

You can find my latest worth the hype here.

Also remember to check out my best friends new blog and follow her on bloglovin' as we will be doing a lot of collaborations in future! Click here to go to her blog.

Have you tried this eyeliner?
What's your thoughts?

Even though it's still technically 'Summer' it sure doesn't feel like it! So I've been switching up my brightly coloured oranges to greys and deep blues. This week I'm sporting a colour which I usually only paint on my toe nails called Chandos Place by Nails Inc.

In the bottle it looks like a deep midnight blue with a slight shimmer however when applied onto the nails the shimmer is almost invisible. It took about three coats to get the desired look (I did do quite thin coats) plus it only took a few minutes for each coat to dry. Five days on and the manicure it still going strong with no chips what so ever - very impressive! I definitely reccomend to not be lazy and go without a basecoat as this will surely stain your nails. Even though I'm a Topshop and Models Own nail polish fan, I'm starting to put Nails Inc at the top of my nail worthy list.

To note: I don't know if this shade is still available (I've seen some being sold on ebay) but you are bound to find some high street dupes.

Also before I round this post up I just wanted to give a little shoutout to one of my best friends Poppy's new blog! I have helped her create her design which is still not finished but I would love it if you give her a sneaky follow to help her out, you can find her blog here.

So do you love Nails Inc?

What's your most worn nail polish?

I first saw this tag on Lily Pebbles blog and thought it was such a good idea. The concept is very simple - just grab your stopwatch to record each section of your makeup, write down the time then reset the timer for the next item. You don't have to feel rushed but just exactly how you would normally do your makeup. I was very surprised at my time of five minutes and forty-four seconds which is a lot faster than I would of expected! Here's what I used...

Eyes: Sleek Au Naturel Palette // Rimmel London Wonder'ful Mascara // Soap & Glory Smoulder Khol in 'Cocoa Bean'

Concealer: Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

Primer/Foundation: Natural Collection Pressed Powder (Mine had broken into thousands of pieces!)

Blusher/Bronzer: Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette // 17 Cheek Stamp Blush in 'Stare-Struck'

Brows: Sleek Au Naturel Palette using the shade 'Bark'

Lips: Most days I tend not to wear anything on my lips...

I did find it quite hard to not rush and try to beat the clock but apart from that I think I did quite well. As this was my everyday makeup I didn't have any crazy eyeshadow or eyeliner to complete! If you want to take part in this Tag then follow the instructions above and just have fun!

Are you going to give this tag a go?

Are you impressed with my time like I am?!

Yes I know I haven't written a post in literally ages but that's mainly because I have had no inspiration, but now that it's nearly the end of the summer I want to start the new school year off with some blogging.
Throughout these past few months I realized that I surprisingly hadn't done any beauty shopping until recently when I only bought a few things due to me being broke!

The first thing I picked up was just a replacement of my old concealer which is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I assume all of you have heard of this much loved and raved about product and let me tell you it lives up to it's expectations. I have bought many of these and I know I will be buying many more!

Next up is a new release from Rimmel London which a friend recommended  to me (and it was luckily on offer at boots) - the Wonder'Full Mascara. This mascara has argon oil in its formula to make your lashes feel conditioned. I have only used this once but so far I am in love!

Lastly I bought the Sleek, Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette, this was kind of a spur of the moment purchase but definitely not a regretful one! I am planning on doing a full blown review of this so I won't go into to much detail but all I can say is that my makeup looks a whole lot better!

I definitely picked up some great beauty products and even saved some money, a very small £2, but now I need your help! I would very much appreciate it if you commented down below some blog post ideas you would like me to do and then maybe you will see it soon?

What have you picked up recently?

Now that it's Easter, I wanted to wear something on my nails that would represent the occasion. However me being lazy and not wanting to create a complicated design, I opted for this cool speckled egg effect nail polish. Around this time last year Illamasqua brought out their version of these but gosh they were expensive! When Models Own released their take on it I knew I had to try them out.

The polish has a slightly gloopy consistency but is still very easy to apply. Only two coats are needed to create this opaque finish and a topcoat to add shine. One downside to this nail polish is that the black dots are the same as any other glitter so it is a struggle to take off but that doesn't stop me from having mini egg nails?!

So I hope you're having an amazing Easter and are enjoying eating tons of chocolate - I know I am! Also I don't think you have many days left to vote for me in the Company Blogger Awards. If you like my blog and want to nominate me under the category Best teen style blog then click on the image to the side or here. Remember every vote counts!

Cleaning your makeup brushes is one of those tasks that we all have to do, for me, it's a Sunday evening job which is always put off to the last minute. However, I know many people who have used the same makeup brush for months and haven't even washed it! For those of you who don't wash your makeup brushes regularly well let me tell you why it's a very good idea. When you apply your foundation you're getting all the bacteria from your skin and letting it nestle it's way into the brush. The next time you use your brush, the same thing happens, except the bacteria from the previous time is now ALSO on your skin. This will then cause you to have horrible spot outbreaks, which no girl wants! Eye brushes are less of a problem but I would still recommend to deep clean them every few weeks.

Here's what I do to keep my brushes clean and bacteria free!

1. Lay out all your dirty brushes which need to be cleaned.
2. Dampen the brush slightly with lukewarm water.
3. Pump your cleaning product of choice (I use a shampoo that is not too harsh) into the palm of your hand.
4. Start swirling your makeup brush in the palm of your hand, adding small amounts of water to lather up the product.
5. Gently squeeze out the product and watch the dirt disappear into the plughole...
6. Then re-shape the brush and let dry on a towel.

If you are prone to having breakouts then maybe consider washing your brushes more than the regular person and maybe you will see an improvement with your skin? However, of course the more you wash your brushes the quicker they will wear out. So, now your makeup brushes will be super clean and ready to use!

Also remember to vote for me in the Company Style Blogger Awards, under the catagory best teen style blog! You haven't got a lot of time left and every vote counts. Click on the picture to the side to vote!

Do your brushes need a clean?

I had a quick visit to boots yesterday and sneakily picked up a few things. However I did resist myself from doing all the 3 for 2's, as it's safe to say I do not need any more makeup!

This Easter holidays I am planning on getting my hair cut shorter so I wanted to get some hair products that will give me some volume and texture. I picked up the L'oreal Volume Supersizing Spray which is meant to create back combed volume and an instant matt texture. I spray this into my roots and scrunch my hair. I've only used this product a few times but so far I love it! It also leaves my hair not feeling stiff or sticky.

I also got the 17 Cheek Stamp Blush in Stare Struck, a very pigmented blush which you stamp onto your cheek and blend. When you first apply it, it is very bold but when blended it gives such a pretty glow. Stare-struck is a pinky rose colour with some shimmer running through it. This blush is amazing for travelling but annoyingly does not fit in my muji draws!

Lastly I got the Rita Ora Rimmel London Nail Polish in Breakfast In Bed which is a pale blue with hints of a green undertone. It also has a slight shimmer but hardly noticeable. I am currently wearing this on my nails and I looooove it! It took me about 2-3 coats to get the right pigmentation and it dried pretty quickly too! I now really want to get the light pink and nude next time I go into boots.

I definitely picked up some amazing products and can't wait to go back and find some more!

Have you tried any of these products?
