Beyond Imagination

Lately, the British weather has been tempting us with what feels like Summer, and so immediately I have started to create my Summer dreaming wishlist. For this, my go-to place is ASOS, as they have so many online brands and such a wide selection to choose from. This Summer, I am wanting to (slightly) step out of my comfort zone, and choose pieces which are fashionable but also 100% comfortable and wearable.

I definitely want to stock up on some more dresses, as they are so much more comfortable than denim shorts (a statement to be debated). On the wishlist currently, includes this amazing off the shoulder black dress, featuring large tortoiseshell buttons, a trend that every shop is picking up. The classic sweetheart neckline, which is so flattering on the chest, and over-the-top sleeves creates Parisien dreams! This makes the dress a winner in my eyes. It goes to show that everyone is loving this item, as it has been sold out for weeks, ASOS please re-stock this!

Another style of dress that I want to try out this year, is the square neckline. I ventured into this trend with tops, but not dresses. The brand Daisy Street is constantly coming out with new designs, and this particular yellow check is giving me total Clueless vibes. What I also love about this dress, is the fact it can easily be layered over a t-shirt, shirt or jumper, so it is the perfect transitional piece from the day to the night, or from Summer to Winter.

Another item of clothing that I want to get more of is wide-legged trousers.  Pull & Bear and Bershka are both bringing it with their trouser game, including these grey culottes, with a simple tie, creating that perfect illusion of a cinched in waist. This season I am all for flowing and lightweight materials (basically not denim!) so these would be perfect.

A month?! Yes I know I've taken a break mainly because I had run out of post ideas but now I've got too many to keep locked up. This time I've reduced the stress by only posting once a week or twice if you're lucky (don't get your hopes up!) So welcome me back with lots of comments to motivate me even more! Lets get on with the actual review...

There's no doubt about it that this book is so aesthetically pleasing, but if we get down to the real review the tables turn. The book itself only took a short read with many pages filled with old polaroid images of Alexa herself. I wouldn't exactly call this an autobiography more of a scrapbook meets journal.

There's been many mixed reviews, with many people disliking it or loving it. However they are missing the entire aspect with the fact it's along the lines of pick up when you want to and give it quick flick through - a great addition to your coffee table books!

My favorite parts of the book are when she shows us why she is just like the rest of us even though to the rest of us she might be IT.
She goes on about heartbreak ("Scrolling through photos [on Instagram] of girls your ex may not be shagging won't help you") and even admits that she favours a full brief, ("I'd rather go commando than wedge myself into a g-string").

Yes she does get personal but that's what I like about Alexa as she throws herself into it and may I add very witty too! I enjoyed dipping in and out of this book but for £16.99 (or £11.89 on amazon) I do believe that there could have been more too it. However who does not love taking a look into Alexa's life - I'm guilty.

If you love a seemingly good coffee table book or Alexa Chung herself then this is the perfect buy for you!

Have you read it? What was your thoughts? Love or hate? Let me know

wishlist

1. Alexa Chung It - Waterstones or Urban Outfitters
2. Real Techniques Core Collection - Boots
3. Soap & Glory Solar Powder - Boots
4. Topshop Glow - Topshop
5. Caged Sandals - New Look
6. Pink Cup - Ikea

Now that the sun has wanted to shine, I'm currently dreaming of all the pretty pastel coloured items. As always I am late to jump on the band wagon with the Alexa Chung book. Everyone says it's such a good read and it looks so cute on your dresser! I've been lusting over quite a lot of makeup this month especially the Real Techniques Core Core collection but I've got to hold back as I've already got wayyy too much. How amazingly cool are these shoes? Black + cut outs = the perfect shoe! I do need some more shoes so maybe that will justify me buying them?
What do you think of my wishlist?

My Primark SS14 Picks

Even though Primarks SS14 collection came out all the way back in January, I really liked some of the pieces and thought I would do a fashion post on it. I love primark for their essentials but I never seem to find anything which I like (or they're always hid at the back!) I'm really excited about this collection as Primark seem to be getting better and better  in keeping up with the latest trends.

My favorites definitely have to be the wrap around skort and the daisy print shift dress. I love a print dress with a peter pan collar and the skort is a great dupe for more exspensive ones on the market. It reminds me of ones found in Zara and Topshop but for only a quarter of the price. I know for certain that some of the SS14 clothing line is already in shops so I will be definitely having a trip into Primark!

Which one is your favorite?

Hey everyone!

As soon as the summer weather blooms, crop tops are one of my go to, easy to style piece of clothing. Crop tops are definitely a staple item in anyone's wardrobe, however with the wrong items of clothing, crop tops can sometimes look tacky and even unflattering. If you take the time and choose the right matches of clothes, crops tops can look flattering, modern and just an all in one amazing outfit!

Whenever you say the words "crop top" to someone, mostly everyone's reactions are that they would never wear one or they couldn't pull one off. Although that may be the case, there are some super duper easy ways of styling crop tops without showing to much skin!

Like the first outfit here, shows just taking a simple black crop top and placing a denim blue pinafore dress over the top! This ends up you not showing as much skin, paired with some white converse and topped off with a cute white bow in your hair and you're done!!

There are so many different types of crop tops, it's kind of unbelievable! From fitted ones, to dotty ones and also graphic ones, but one of my all time favourites is the crochet types. They give a more girly feel to the outfit without putting too much effort in.

When the heat creeps up, I love to pair crop tops with some distressed denim shorts and just some plain brown gladiator sandals. I always reach for some sort of bracelet or anklet, this outfit is great for on of those 'can't be bothered to make to much effort' days.

Sometimes I really like a pop of colour in my outfit, and crop tops are an easy way doing so. I like to go for more of a subtle pop of colour rather than a bright neon yellow?! A pretty coloured crop top can make an outfit look super cute and girly.

If I'm not just by the pool side or down at the beach, I would always pair a crop top with a skater skirt, whether it's floral or denim. I would usually have my hair tied up so I would clip in some gorgeous flower hair clips and slip on some cut out ballet flats. To make this outfit look even more cuter I would add any type of satchel.

Those were my 3 different ways of styling a crop top! Also I would love it if you commented down below some post requests, it would help me a lot!

How do you style crop tops?

Hey Everyone,
I took these pics a few weeks ago in the sun, which now seems to have disappeared , but perhaps these pictures will remind you what sunny weather is like?!

Two of this summer's hit trends are the fabulous coral, and also crochet, so I thought I'd rock it by wearing this bright coral, crochet dress from H&M. Two hit trends in one!

I just love the fact that it sits really nicely on the body and makes you feel.... amazing! This dress does come quite short - quite a bit above the knee - but that just makes it the perfect mini dress for the summer. This length might not be to everyone's taste, but abroad in the hot summer sun, it will be stunning.

I have seen some similar dresses in Zara recently and in the adults H&M, so be sure to go and grab one for this summer!

Now for the pics...

* By the way, spot the spider on my leg! *

Hope you enjoyed this outfit post!

What's your favourite sunny weather outfit?

Hey Guys,

Spring is finally here, and I hope that the sun is out where you are too!

Now that we are back at school, I have been getting so much homework! This means that from now on I am going to be posting only once a week but I still hope you will enjoy reading my posts...

I am loving the crochet and lace trend at the moment which seems to be everywhere you look. I have already got quite a few items, but plan to get even more! Topshop figures high on my wishlist, just wish I had the spending power!

I don't know why, but it took me ages to decide what to wear today, maybe the sun muddled my brain...
Anyway this is what I finally decided on.

 Lace Top - H&M // Cream Vest Top - New Look // Jeggings - H&M // Converse - Office

Are you a fan of the lace and crochet trend?

Hey everyone,

Loads of people have been raving about the TopShop printed trousers. So today I thought I would write a post all devoted to them! I came across these only yesterday, so these are definitely going to be in my wishlist.

These are quite thin so you don't want to wear them in the stark cold! I would put a long tee underneath the piece I am wearing just to add more layers and warmth. These also go along perfectly with this years Monochrome trend!

These are quite a statement piece so the top half should be quite simple, trying to avoid any designs. With some black or brown ankle boots, then this would be a perfect match, grab a tartan scarf and throw that on. For the summer some cat eye sunglasses would kick the whole outfit off the roof!

What's your favorite pattern?
